Description $155,000+Bonus Director of Corporate Accounting for a large Fortune 500 Company. This client will offer the Director of Accounting a growing, fast paced company that has a good work/life balance, and room for professional advancement.
Manage the period close process including journal entry approval, accruals, analysis and reporting.
Report, analyze and explain monthly close results, quarterly projections, annual operating plan and other financial performance in a timely and accurate manner.
Coordinate with other accounting teams to analyze and review various inputs to the monthly close process to confirm quality, accuracy and necessary adjustments are recorded.
Provide oversight and reporting for capital projects and major initiatives.
Manage vendor payment process for corporate departments including receipt, review, approval, general ledger coding and submission to Accounts Payable for payment.
Provide support towards coordination and preparation of key performance reports for operations and corporate management.
Interact on a regular basis with other departments to prepare reports and respond to inquiries.
Staff, train, coach, develop and manage performance of direct reports.
Provide support to the Sr. Director, Accounting and Financial System Operations.
Evaluate operational functions and provide recommendation for automation and improvement initiatives.
Evaluate, maintain and monitor appropriate internal controls.
Provide requested information to external audit team.
Prepare updates to corporate accounting related policies and procedures in addition to internal control documentation.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
8+ years accounting experience, with emphasis in the healthcare or insurance industry. Previous management experience including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff.
License/Certification: CPA preferred.
